The Wreckage is the band that plays Chris Caddell's original music with him. They go into the studio with him, and they bravely go into live venues with him. The Wreckage is stocked with formidable Toronto-based musicians at every position. Starting at the bottom of the sound, the Wreckage is driven by drummer, Cassius Pereira. Cass has played with Jeff Healey, Johnny Reid, and many others. Canadian music industry veteran, Derrick Brady, is on bass. Derrick has played with everyone from Serena Ryder to Hawksley Workman, and in addition to being a charter member of the Wreckage, Derrick is also currently in the Skydiggers. Derrick is frequently in the studio either playing bass or producing. On the other guitar, is another former Jeff Healey Band member and a musician who is widely recognized as one of the most skilled players in Canada or anywhere, Dan Noordermeer. Dan was a bandmate with Dave Murphy in the Jeff Healey Band and the two still play together to this day in the Dave Murphy Band. The fifth and final member of Chris Caddell and the Wreckage is B3 and piano player, Derek Giberson. Derek is a great singer and artist in his own right, as well as working with other singer songwriters such as Chris and Trish Robb.
"It is an absolute honor to be playing with this group of guys. When I got to Toronto, I would never have imagined that this would be my band some day. I used to watch all these guys in other bands, and really dig what they were doing. I have to always be on my toes playing with the Wreckage which in turn continues to push me to be a better player, singer, and writer."
